Estimating the Right Sized Building for Your Needs
Our buildings can be quickly and easily added to your backyard or other space. In fact, some businesses will actually have a Gladiator steel building put up for their new office or warehouse. They can also be used for farm equipment or for animals. However, no matter what you want to use it for, you have to know what size you’re going to need. Otherwise, you’re going to end up with a building that is either too small or too large. Here are some tips on how to estimate the right size of your building.
What will you use the Building for?
This is the biggest factor in determining the size of your building. If you’re going to use your building to store your large farm equipment, for example, you’re going to want to have a building that’s large enough for you to get all of your equipment in the building. If you’re using it for storage, on the other hand, you’ll need to have an idea of how much product you’re going to have on hand at any one time. You’ll want to have an idea of what the maximum amount of product you’ll have is, too, so you can handle a little bit of overflow. Sit down and create a set of blueprints for your building that mark out the sizes of each partition and the overall size of the building. Our staff is always willing to help you determine what size you will need! We have years of experience with this, so don’t hesitate to fill out a form or give us a call for some help!
Will you be Expanding Soon?
This is another important question to ask. If you have a new business, you probably hope that it will grow within a few years. If you’ve got a stable of animals, you may plan on adding more to your stable. While you want to know what your current needs are, you also want to have an idea of what you’ll need in five years. If possible, plan your building to accommodate your growth. Otherwise, you may need to expand your building within a few years.
How Many People will be in the Building?
If you’re going to use your building as an events center, how large of events are you going to hold? How many people will be in the building? An event space is made or broken by its maximum occupancy. If you can’t fit everyone you need to into your building, you’ll end up renting event space elsewhere, and that’s just a waste of money if you’ve paid for it.
